The only way is up
As the first decade of the 21st century drew to a close, it was time to bid farewell to the noughties, the doom and gloom of the final two years and with great excitement and anticipation, welcome in the new decade. So, what’s in store for 2010 ?
If 2009 was the year of cost reduction, many believe 2010 to be the year of innovation. With 2008/09 projects put on hold, companies are looking to 2010 for the next wave of launches and this year should see a return to consumer confidence. Coca Cola’s global sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup will see the most ambitious Trophy Tour to date visit 83 countries across five continents ; Peugeot has unveiled a new logo and is looking to buy a stake in Mitsubishi Motors and technology launches include Ipad computer and the Google phone.
Let’s view this recession as what it really is : a time for change. Understanding this is crucial to successfully support businesses in making the most of these changes. With big shocks come big ideas and many industry professionals have seized these new opportunities while others have changed their products and services to respond to the new behaviours and spending patterns.
What does this all mean for Spice Up ? A more resourceful approach in our thinking coupled with investment in on-going training and technology – CRM, marketing analytics - to remain experts in our field and demonstrate performance and impact. Best practice solutions, strong post-event marketing services and measurement tools will also be key. In addition, Spice Up will increase its ethical and environmental focus, developing innovative and sustainable offerings. Last but not least, more communication than ever with you, our client. Increased dialogue will promote healthy long-term partnerships between us, help you meet your goals and enable us to create a complete event strategy and production from A to Z, with maximum results.
The American author Henry David Thoreau once said something that beautifully illustrates the above : “We should come home from adventures, perils and discoveries every day with new experience and character”.
